Full Time Contract

Our local authority client is looking a Customer Service Advisor, some experience preferable, to join them on a 5 week temporary assignment, starting next Wednesday 13 November.  You will be providing call support for the upcoming general election and also provide cover for switchboard calls.

  • Initially a 5 week assignment but may extend
  • 37 hour working week
  • Must not have any annual leave planned for the duration of the assignment

Key Tasks

Provide an effective customer-focused response to queries and service requests from the public, elected members, businesses or partner organisations

  • Ensure queries and requests are accurately and appropriately recorded
  • Exercise integrity in respect of confidential matters to ensure compliance with the Data Protection Act
  • Any other duties as may be reasonably required

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • GCSE passes grade A-C in English and Mathematics or equivalent
  • Experience in a customer service environment
  • Knowledge of Council services preferable
  • Understanding how to deliver excellent customer service
  • Good keyboard skills – ability to use Email and Outlook and web browser
  • Competent with the use of telephony equipment
  • Ability to be flexible in work to support customer demand
  • Good telephone manner and able to communicate effectively with a positive attitude.
