Support Worker - Monday to Friday 10am-4pm - Wadebridge

Our client is looking to recruit caring and committed individuals who will deliver excellent levels of care to their service users, within a residential setting. Candidates without experience will be considered if they can demonstrate the right personality traits and committed to the industry. This is a day service so working hours are Monday to Friday 10am-4pm, no weekends.

Responsibilities

• Working within a team to support service users to live and enjoy life as independently as possible. You will be ensuring they are having as much choice and control in their lives as possible.
• Helping with toileting , washing , dressing , meal times and medication as and when required
• Accompanying to appointments, shops, events and days out
• Providing emotional and physical support, depending on the need and care plan of each service user.
• Being a familiar face, someone to make them feel comfortable and safe in your presence and be improving their lives wherever possible.

Requirements

• Ideally previous experience within care capacity, whether this be residential or nursing home, , supported living or community or perhaps caring for a family member, though not essential as full training given
• Ideally qualifications in Care, though Care Certificate / NVQs offered as part of the inductions
• Ideally a driver with own transport due to location of the home but not essential as long as able to attend via public transport
• Friendly, trustworthy and caring nature
