Our client, a well-regarded care provider in Cornwall and Devon, is looking to recruit an experienced candidate to support the Training Manager within a learning and development facilitator capacity.

You will be supporting the planning, teaching and evaluation, recording and reporting of the training programmes in place for all employees across the company.

This role will be initially based in Truro whilst COVID restrictions remain in place, but long term there is flexibility of being based in one of the Cornwall or Devon office. Once restrictions have ceased there will be a requirement to cover both counties at times.

Package:

  • £25k to £27k per annum, pro rata depending on experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Delivering mandatory and other core subjects independently
  • Delivering one to one and group sessions when needed to meet the learners needs if additional support is required.
  • Working with the department to assess care certificates, as well as updating and developing training resources.
  • Completing trainees’ certificates, feeding back to trainee’s and recording evidence in a timely manner
  • Updating training matrixes
  • Attending training meetings and other relevant meetings which are relevant to the development of the department as and when required.
  • Evoking relationships with various learning establishments to promote availability of staff training at all levels.
  • Working with multiple departments across the organisation to ensure training standards are consistent and constantly striving for excellence.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in the health and social care sector
  • Minimum level 3 NVQ in Health and Social care or equivalent
  • Experience in a similar role would be highly advantageous.
  • Exceptional organisational skills, able to manage own time and workload.
  • Strong verbal and written communication sills
  • Able to engage with trainees on all levels of seniority, able to deliver training and sessions with confidence and professionalism.
  • Computer literate
  • Full UK Driving license and happy to travel across Cornwall and Devon.

It would be highly desired to also possess:

· Training qualification of min Level 3 Education and Training or equivalent

· Up to day training qualification in Moving and Handling and First Aid
