Full Time Contract

My client is looking for an experienced and passionate candidate to take on the role of Principal Engineer. The role has many responsibilities such as deputising for the Product Manager as well as liaising with technical architects and supporting them in operationalising designs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support outside of standard working hours for service impacting incidents and issues
  • Resolving any problems efficiently by working with Resolution Centre incident managers across Technology Management disciplines
  • Lead meetings and drive customer communication during events
  • Record work activities accurately and justify any deviations from plans
  • Adhere to service management processes and policies within ICT
  • Work alongside Infrastructure and End User Computing Principal Engineers to ensure SLAs and KPIs are met
  • Guaranteeing tasks are completed in a timely manner, within any deadlines and in line with current policies
  • Consistent industry level understanding of the direction of technology products in both own area of expertise and the wider landscape. Also to participate in Technical Design Authority reviews and approvals
  • Create user documentation sets such as tutorials and how-to videos for the customer community
  • Ensuring product roadmaps are aligned to agreed business outcomes and assists in the prioritisation of feature and maintenance delivery

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge and ability to use Microsoft SharePoint Online
  • Extensive experience of SharePoint Migrations from legacy farms and unstructured file stores
  • Able to use PowerShell confidently
  • Experience of Office365 tenant configuration and design
  • Track record of working credibly with stakeholders and providing exceptional customer service
  • Able to take initiative and find ways to accomplish desired goals
  • Proven experience in consultancy and/or working directly with projects
  • Strong verbal and written skills, and the ability to draft effective communications
  • Previous experience of document management solution design and deployment using SharePoint
