Job description

My client is looking for an enthusiastic and outgoing candidate to undertake the role of Receptionist in a hotel. You will have excellent communication skills and strive to provide an exceptional service to all our guests and non-residents alike.

Responsibilities

- Greet and welcome guests and visitors at the Reception Area, ensuring that the service offered is personal and memorable.

- Check guests into the hotel and ask if they would like to be escorted to their rooms, helping them with their luggage where necessary. Ensure that they are settled in and have all of the information that they need for their stay, resolving any queries or comments before leaving.

- Ensure all guests receive a courtesy call after check in within 20 minutes.

- Proactively anticipate any problems which may occur and ensure that any queries are followed up as quickly possible.

- Develop and maintain high product knowledge of all of the facilities and surrounding area.

- Ensure all guests (new, regular & VIP) are known by name and cared for accordingly and that this information is communicated to the rest of the hotel.

- Build and effectively utilise guest history profiles.

- Always ensure the correct use of the hotel’s resources whilst on shift.

- Provide our guests with up-to-date information on arrival, making sure the information on all current promotions and offers is clear and understood.

- Ensure the daily task sheet is completed and signed.

- Pass on the correct information to other departments where necessary regarding special arrangements and requirements.

- When necessary, show our guests and visitors around the grounds so that they can fully understand the facilities available, upselling when suitable

Requirements

- Ideally, you will have experience in a Front of House team and the ability to think on your feet behind a busy desk. However, on the job training will be provided to the successful candidate.

- Working knowledge of our front office system ‘Rezlynx’ would be advantageous.

- Must have excellent organisational skills

- Clear and confident communicator and listener

- Have exceptional guest service skills
