HOW DOES A RECRUITMENT AGENCY WORK - EMPLOYER?

Once we receive your vacancy - one of our Recruitment Consultant's will visit your premises to discuss the vacancy further. This is to ascertain as much information on your company to help us resource the right candidate for you.

We can work in 3 ways:

Permanent - If you recruit a candidate on a straight permanent basis, we will charge a percentage of their annual salary. With this option you also get a 12 week guarantee (which does not include redundancy). This eliminates advertising, interviewing and referencing - saving you valuable time - you will only receive an invoice when the candidate is accepted and actually starts work in your firm.

Temporary - Recruiting for a temporary staff member gives you flexibility. If you have a staff member who is off sick or on holiday - we can supply a temporary member of staff to cover their workload - we keep the candidates on our books and you will receive a weekly invoice.

Temp to Perm - This works really well if you are unsure if the position will be permanent or temporary - it works in the same way as temporary in that the candidate stays on our books and after a continuous period of 16 weeks temporary contract, you have the option to offer the candidate a permanent position and there will be no further fee due - just the outstanding weekly invoices of course!

 

HOW DOES A RECRUITMENT AGENCY WORK - EMPLOYEE (CONTRACTOR/TEMPORARY/PERMANENT)?

Firstly you will need to register with us. This is achieved by sending us your CV. One of our consultant's will contact you when the CV has arrived and we bring you in for a cup of tea and biscuit and have an in depth chat on where you currently and what you are looking for in the future. All candidates that are registered with us must bring ID as this is now the law and we keep all this information in complete confidence.

We source work for you in several ways:

Applying for an Advertised Position on our Website: If once we have interviewed you we feel you are a suitable candidate for the position we will forward your CV to our client and hopefully secure you an interview.

Applying direct from Yellow Pages: Again we will bring you in for an interview and go through all the positions we have and if you are suitable for any of our positions, we will forward your details to our client.

Market Your CV: With your prior permission we will market your CV to our existing clients, and work extremely hard to try and secure you an interview.

As a contractor/temporary/permanent staff, there is no fee that you have to pay.

 

DO I GET PAID WEEKLY OR MONTHLY?

Once you are a temporary worker with RJS Resourcing Ltd, you are paid on a weekly basis. Timesheets are due in the office by the following Monday, we run payroll on a Wednesday and your wages will be clear into your bank account by the Friday.

 

IS MY INFORMATION SECURE?

Yes, all information is secure and we are very strict in following the Data Protection Act.

 

WILL YOU CONTACT ME BEFORE FORWARDING MY DETAILS?

Yes, we never forward your CV without your prior permission

 

DO I GET HOLIDAY PAY?

All temporary workers are now entitled to 28 days a year holiday which include 8 days bank holidays.

Holiday is accrued on a weekly basis at 0.538 days for every week you work. However you will only get paid for monies you have accrued. This works as follows:

If you work 4 weeks and worked 37 a week and you put 0.77p per hour into your pot you would of accrued 2.1538 days holiday and £113.96 into your pot.

If you work 4 weeks and only work 20 hours a week for 2 weeks and then work 37 hours for the next 2 weeks, you would of still accrued 2.1538 days but would only have £87.78 in your pot, this does not cover your full 2.1538 days.

 

DO I GET STATUTORY SICK PAY (SSP)?

Yes, all temporary workers receive SSP. You do not receive SSP for the first 3 days, this is called your waiting days, you then receive £17.17 per day. If you are sick, we ask that you contact the office before 10.00 of the day you are sick so that we can inform our client.

We have the right not to pay you SSP if you do not tell us you are sick more than 7 days after you first became sick.

Evidence that you are sick

We will normally ask for a sick note from your Doctor, however, we cannot ask you to provide a sick note, for the first 7 days that you are sick. But you are expected to fill out a self-certificate or form SC2.
